This policy covers r4cksports.com, the website of R4ck Sports, a sporting goods business on Long Island, New York. "We," "us" and "our" mean R4ck Sports. If you have any question about your information, email info@r4cksports.com.
The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms, so we can answer you.
- Form submissions are stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, and emailed to us.
- We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
- Your shop cart stays in your browser until you send an order request.
- There are no ads and no tracking scripts on this site.
- Email us any time to ask what we have, or to have it deleted.
What we collect
We collect the information you choose to give us through the forms on this site:
- Your contact details. Your name and email address, and, if you choose to share them, a phone number and the name of your team, league, school or company.
- Your message and request details. For example: the sport, quantities and timing for a uniform quote; the items, sizes and quantities in a shop order request; a description of gear you'd like to trade in; or details about your program or brand.
- Team details for custom orders. Things like player names, numbers and sizes, when you send them to us for a uniform order.
Please don't send payment card numbers, passwords, government ID numbers or health information through our forms or by email. We'll never ask for them that way.
Technical information
Like every website, ours receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, uses it to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks and abuse. When you send a form, your IP address is also checked to limit repeated submissions and keep spam out. We don't use it to identify you or follow you around the web.
Why we collect it
- To answer your questions and prepare quotes
- To confirm, prepare and deliver your order, including shipping or local pickup
- To make the custom uniforms you've ordered
- To evaluate gear you'd like to trade in and make you an offer
- To keep basic business records, like what was ordered and when
We won't add you to a marketing list or send you newsletters unless you ask us to.
Where your information goes
When you send a form:
- It travels securely, over HTTPS, to our website, which runs on Cloudflare.
- It's stored in Cloudflare's data storage, so it stays on file even if an email goes astray.
- A copy is emailed to our business inbox so we can reply to you.
- You may get an automatic email confirming we received it. We cap these so no address gets more than a few a day.
Access to your submissions is limited to the people at R4ck Sports who need it to help you.
When we share information
We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only:
- With the service providers that run our website and email (Cloudflare and our email provider), only so they can provide those services to us
- With a supplier or manufacturer when it's needed to fill your order, such as sending names, numbers and sizes to produce your custom uniforms, or a shipping address when a supplier ships an item straight to you. We share only the details they need
- When the law requires it
Your shop cart
The shop cart lives only in your browser, using a feature called local storage. It isn't sent to us, and we can't see it, until you choose to send an order request. You can clear it any time by emptying your cart, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Cookies, ads and tracking
There are no ads, no advertising cookies, and no tracking or analytics scripts on this site today. We don't build profiles of visitors.
Our hosting provider may use a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors apart from bots. It's never used for advertising.
If we ever add analytics, we'll describe it here, including what it collects, before it goes live.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions only as long as we need them to answer you, complete your order and keep normal business records. We delete inquiries that don't lead to an order when they're no longer needed, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time. Records of completed orders are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information
To make a request, email info@r4cksports.com from the address you used with us, so we know it's really you, and tell us what you'd like. We'll take care of it promptly and confirm by email. If we need to keep something, such as a record of a completed order for tax purposes, we'll tell you what and why.
Children
This site is meant for parents, coaches and organizations: the adults who buy gear and run teams. It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
For team orders, a parent, coach or league contact may send us players' names, numbers and sizes. We use them only to make and deliver that order. If you believe a child has sent us information directly, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Every page on our site is served over HTTPS, and access to submissions is limited to R4ck Sports. No system is perfect, so please keep sensitive details out of forms and email.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If we add online payments in the future, we'll update this policy to explain how payment information is handled before that launches.
